Striking Black Velvet Evening Coat with Cream color Fur Collar - large bell sleeves 15" wide at wrist. Satin lining with pleated opening interior pocket. Muslin like interlining. Label "Charles Inc Formerly of Fifth Avenue" with Springfield Mass and Hartford Conn shown in corners of label.  We were unable to find history of Charles Inc for dating - would believe 1930s or 40s

No marked size noted -  Measurements approx. Length 43" Bust measured snaps closed 40"  Weight coat pre packing 3 lbs 2 oz

Condition normal for age - velvet appears unusually intact but satin lining fragile with splits, snaps intact work well for front closure. Hem may have been  adjusted at some time from looking at lace on bottom inside hem. See photos.
